The Aqua Buddy system is the answer to a common need found in fitness centers without an installed sound system. This portable sound system is designed to be used with the SPECIAL PROJECTS AQUA-808 Submersible Body Pack VHF Transmitter and the heavy duty SP-H₂OM waterproof head worn microphone. Whether the instruction is from the deck or in the pool this unit provides a waterproof/sweat proof solution with great sound. This unit is designed for crowds of up to 1000 and it can be ordered with either a CD or cassette player (with pitch control). Automatic circuitry lowers the volume of music when the instructor speaks, protecting vocal chords.
The Aqua Buddy is easy to use and its built-in three-stage trolley system with retractable handle and wheels allows the aquatic fitness instructor to roll the unit into the pool area during classes and then back to the equipment area for recharging. It comes with 2 rechargeable gel cell batteries which provide 6-7 hours of continuous usage. The AQUA BUDDY is shown with a cassette player, a CD player and receivers. These are optional items at additional cost.

Please note that while the equipment worn by the instructor is designed to be use in the pool, the BUDDY cannot be submerged.

The AQUA-808 Body Pack VHF Transmitter (left) is totally submersible, waterproof to 3 meters, made of polypropylene in order to be chemical resistant and salt water resistant. This unit has been totally redesigned and re engineered, features a simple one button on/off interface, and has an easy to read power and battery indicator. This rugged body pack transmitter has internal rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.

The SP-H₂OM Headset Microphone (right) is designed for years of rugged use. The adjustable gooseneck boom is sealed for protection against water, dust, and perspiration. It is surprisingly light and flexible for a comfortable fit. It has an adjustable headband for secure placement during the most rigorous exercise routines. It comes with a DETACHABLE CABLE. Special Projects has redesigned the body pack transmitter to incorporate a metal Hirose^® waterproof connector. This improvement is sure to improve the durability. The SP-H2^OM is designed to be used only with the new AQUA 808 body pack transmitter it will not adapt to the WMS-202.Waterproof Headworn Microphone is designed for years of heavy use.
